Gord is a Canadian who simply got tired of the same rat race year after year. With a growing aversion to spending six months of the year surviving the winters of heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures, then another six months in dread, preparing for the next one, he started looking for something more. After working hard for 4 decades he realized that with the high cost of living in Canada, he would probably never be able to retire comfortably. After exploring the Caribbean and several South American countries, he turned towards Asia. One trip to the Philippine was all it took to know he would live here one day. He has now lived in Dumaguete for 7 years and has found the home he had been searching for and with his Filipina wife Shirley, truly has found happiness and contentment.
